The Erasmus+ Program enables students enrolled in higher education institutions to receive part of their education in higher education institutions abroad, which are partners owing to an interinstitutional agreement. Students who attend the program have the right to receive financial support (grant). The grants do not aim to cover all the costs of the participants but to be a contribution to their expected costs.
According to İstanbul Kültür University Senate Decisions dated April 5, 2012 and January 22, 2015 on establishing equivalences of grading systems between İstanbul Kültür University and partner universities:
- Table 1 is taken as the reference for the course transfers of outgoing students of İstanbul Kültür University,
- Table 2 is taken as the reference for the grades of the courses of incoming international students,
- For partner universities of İstanbul Kültür University that do not use the ECTS grading system and do not provide the conversion of the local grading system to the ECTS grading system, a joint decision proposal of the relevant departments and the European and International Relations Center is prepared and submitted to the approval of the Senate in order to be able to establish equivalences on a university basis.

The cooperation between our university and the Universities of the European Union, with which the agreement has been made, has been developed and maintained every passing year through student exchanges starting in the 2004-2005 academic year.
The duration of the program can be between 3 to 12 months (1, 2 or 3 semesters depending on the systems of certain countries) which can be completed separately at each education level within the same academic year. The education level refers to associate/undergraduate, master, and doctoral levels.
